Journal 1Taking Laptops Schoolwide NETS-T (1)

Professional Learning Community has shown to be a great program for students, teachers, and the community as a whole. PLC benefits students in that they get extra help from their teachers, parents, and the teachers get feedback from their students. This feedback enabled teachers know what their students are struggling in and what area they need more help. The four factors illustrated in the article called, “Taking Laptops Schoolwide,” suggest that PLC cannot be done without collaboration and enthusiasm.

How can more schools explore and know about PLC?

Now a day, networking has become easier than ever, especially with Twitter. Professor Heil has taught us that the best way to educate others and communicating is by networking! Twitter is a great place to network with other educators. When a chain of knowledge interacts, there is a lot more to learn from it. Programs such as PLC pop up when educators interact and discuss their methods used in schools. Networking through internet with peers, teachers, and community members enables communication flow faster.

Who benefits the most from PLC?

The students are the ones who most benefit from PLC because with the contribution of the people who participate. Children have the opportunity to see their parents and teachers work together in order to improve their level of education. Having students work with PLC enables their parents and teachers teach the students the importance of getting to know people and also leaning how to ask for help. One of the greatest benefits is that children succeed in school the best way possible, with a lot of support!
